Neighborhood Natural Energy (N2e) develops community-scaled solutions to address energy independence and climate change.

Launched in 2008, N2e is an Oregon non-profit organization working with communities throughout the region to adapt successful examples of modern district energy systems for local implementation.
Their principal aims are to replace fossil fuel use with renewable energy sources and to establish community ownership of energy generation and distribution. N2e’s main strategy for implementation is to develop new district energy systems in neighborhoods, towns, and cities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
N2e is actively engaged in developing district energy projects in Portland at multiple scales, from a single residential block to a downtown core.
If you are passionate about climate change, energy independence and thriving communities, and have time or professional skills to aid our projects, please contact N2e.
If you see the benefits of neighborhood energy for your block, neighborhood, or city, please ask us how to initiate a project in your community!
